After a devastating divorce, a bitter single mom and atheist starts her own real estate company in the nostalgic and picturesque town of Miller’s Creek, Texas. Then her young daughter’s disturbing symptoms lead doctors to discover that her leukemia has relapsed. With her new life now turned upside down, Mara Hedwig struggles to keep her business afloat. During a house-search, Carter meets Mara, a headstrong Realtor who wants nothing to do with his God. But when Mara’s little girl is diagnosed with leukemia, the clock begins ticking for him to convince Mara to return to a life of faith. If you enjoy Christian contemporary romance set in Texas and with an inspirational message of winning back defectors from the faith, CROSSROADS is a book you'll love.

"...a wonderful story that pictures in a very heartwarming way that God is a God of second chances..." ~Amazon Reviewer

Interview With The Author

Q - Why write stories about a small fictional town in Texas?

A - I grew up in a small Texas town, so I know all the pros and cons and absolute blessings of living in a place like Miller's Creek--a laid-back, down-home lifestyle, wonderful folks, and even a few who think it's their job to know everyone's personal business. The stories were designed to give readers an experience of feeling like they've arrived at a place that feels like home.

Although the Miller's Creek novels are technically classified as romances, they're really so much more: southern fiction, women's fiction (though I have a surprisingly high amount of men readers), suspense, comedy, drama, even a little bit of psychological thriller thrown in to keep readers turning pages. And each of the books carry a distinctive spiritual theme as well as an overall journey theme for the series. (Hence words like roads, path, way, pilgrimage, and bridge in the titles.)

Q - In what order should the books be read?

A - The books were created as stand-alone novels, so they can be read in any order. However, if you have OCD issues like me, you might want to read them in the order in which they were written:

-TEXAS ROADS
-A PATH LESS TRAVELED
-THE WAY OF GRACE
-PILGRIMAGE OF PROMISE
-A BRIDGE UNBROKEN (and its companion Bible study on the theme of forgiveness, THE FRAGRANCE OF CRUSHED VIOLETS)
-CROSSROADS

Q - So why will readers be interested in the Miller's Creek novels?

A - Based on reader reviews, I'd say the books are compelling reads for these five main reasons:

1. They make readers laugh one minute and tear up the next.
2. They offer plenty of conflict and tension to keep readers turning pages.
3. The setting is compelling. (Some readers have compared Miller's Creek to Mayberry, only Texas-style. And I've lost count of how many readers have told me they want to live in Miller's Creek.)
4. The characters are endearing and relatable.
5. The books' themes are spiritually impactful.

All the books are rated at 4.5 stars or higher and are Amazon Kindle Best-Sellers.

Q - Have any plans to bundle the series into a collection?

A - Actually the first three books have been bundled. Readers can check out my Amazon author page for a full list of my book titles, including the collection. And a big shout out to my reader friends: Thanks for reading!

Sundog Daze: A Western Adventure (Sundog Series Book 2)

by Ash Lingam

"Hang-em high boys. Make sure there is a six-foot drop so the outlaw dies clean from a snap of the neck," said old Judge Roy Bean, the man they called the Hanging Judge. Captain Ridge Creek of the Texas Rangers stood by as the hangman focused on the task at hand. The outlaw that Ridge brought to justice on the trail to Laredo for his appointment at dawn with the noose and hell. As eighteen sixty approached the lawlessness on the Texan border with Mexico was still rampant. Violent raids from banditos, outlaws, Comanche, gunfighters and Mexican gun hands hired by south of the border ranchers. It was an onerous task and the responsibility of the small band of Texas Rangers. Especially the Ranger the Comanche called 'With Dead Eyes'. The man who instilled fear in the outlaws and Plains Indians alike. This is the story of Ridge Creek’s younger years. This West Texan lawman is as hard as a coffin nail and makes this true western adventure a great read. Vol. 2.

Ryan's Love (Sawyer Brothers Book 1)

by C.A. Harms

One of the hardest things I have ever had to do was bury my wife.

The second hardest thing would be watching my twelve-year-old daughter fall to her knees as they lowered her mother into the ground to rest.

A heart-wrenching vision that will forever be etched in my mind.

Claire was my best friend—she had been since we were barely old enough to talk. I always knew, one day, I would marry her. I think I may have even told her that a few times while we were growing up.

Never did I think I would lose her so suddenly.

I knew at that moment…

Our life would never be the same again…

THE PLAN Book 2: Considerations (THE PLAN (five-book quinogy))

by R.W. Frazier

***THE PLAN - Book 2: Considerations*** THE PLAN continues with many ideas being considered to assure that desired goals are attained. As new information is gathered and plans evolve, general intentions become more specific and decisions are made that will affect multiple human generations. The prospector and the local who will become his main adversary discuss a partnership. Granger formalizes his support network and claims his first gold mine. His modest opportunities grow into chances for wealth. The prospector’s new love is active with her rivalries and “stings” as ever, but works diligently on her plan to ease the burdens of a friend. The Cowboy courts his girl and they face a struggle for survival. The youngest member of the fruit family is always a step ahead of his companions. *** The hidden, deep space Surveillance Squad monitoring Sol-3 takes steps to mitigate the threat he poses to its plan, but it also must address a more pressing problem. The advanced Squad watching both the prospector and the Pod also has a plan to protect; it launches a counter-plan. The Squad secretly supports the Pod in numerous ways on many issues; however, the Squad is now intent on wrecking the Pod’s effort to extend the viability life of Sol-3. *** Romance blooms, and the Annual Festival brings not only pleasant distraction, but also growing animosity. Mining competition and dastardly acts are on the horizon. Tensions in the Lundys Post area are growing, although still invisible to most there. *** *** *** THE PLAN, a five-book novel (quinogy) by R.W. Frazier, is a nineteenth century Western blended with a Sci-Fi vision. It is a story involving the formulation and implementation of plans; the evolution, the clashes, the contradictions, and the consequences of them. The storylines are compelling; the ideas and situations are stimulating; and the characters are unique, credible, varied, and memorable. *** *** *** Everyone has a plan. The plan may be immaculately structured, with incredible detail and a rigorous action schedule. It may be only a passing intention, barely started before being discarded at the first hint of inconvenience. The plan could be a mere hope or dream. It could be so vital that civilizations and cultures may not survive without it. The plan is never perfect. The plan is ever changing, evolving, growing or shrinking, perhaps succeeding brilliantly or failing miserably. Usually, the plan proceeds as a mixed bag of all possibilities. For everyone, the plan is life.... The ideas that each of us have at a particular time about how to get through life, how to make the most of life, how to enhance life, how to perpetuate life… or end it; that’s the plan. *** *** *** Forlis Granger, a young man with a plan, arrives in western Wyoming in the summer of 1878. He is scientifically savvy and financially fit to spend a year or two prospecting for gold. Now alone in the world, Granger is intent on success for himself and for others with whom he can build relationships. *** The potential fallout from Granger’s plan alarms a hidden group of civil servants in deep space. They must act to thwart it. Another secret group loves Granger’s plan of action. An ambitious competitor has a plan that will upset Granger’s in a different way. There are plenty of Granger supporters, but vicious foes, too. The known natural dangers from man and beast are formidable; the other threats are more sinister, but with altruistic motive. *** The variety of activities and situations will have you living the story from different character perspectives, admiring, despising, loving, empathizing with or seething at other characters. Concepts and descriptions presented will tickle your imagination. Clever problem solving and technical details bring the situations and activities to life. Embedded dashes of humor and surprises add to the entertainment…. THE PLAN. You will be glad you read it.

A New Life For Eryn Fae

At almost eighteen, Eryn Fae must decide whether to take the job offered by the Baskerville Orphan Home, where she lived since she was six, or join a wagon train with a Pastor and his wife, with the hope of finding a job in Colorado.

Undercover Amish (Amish Romantic Suspense) (Covert Police Detectives Unit Series Book 1)

by Ashley Emma

Undercover Amish was a finalist in Maine Romance Writers Strut Your Stuff Competition 2015 where it received 26 out of 27 points!
Detective Olivia Mast would rather run through gunfire than return to her former Amish community in Unity, Maine, where she killed her abusive husband in self-defense. However, Olivia begrudgingly dons her old prayer kapp and covertly investigates a murder there while protecting the man she dated as a teen: Isaac Troyer, a potential target. The handsome and quirky cabinet maker falls in love with her once again, unaware that she carries a 9mm under her skirt. After another murder, a barn fire, and a kidnapping, Olivia realizes she needs Isaac's help most of all.
When Olivia tells Isaac she is a detective, will he be willing to break Amish rules to help her arrest the killer?
Olivia values one important rule over all others: never let emotions, especially love, get in the way of the job. But as the body count rises and she starts falling for Isaac again, she might just end up breaking her own rule.

Editorial Reviews

“Buy this book! It's a five-star read in my opinion. Whether you have ever read Amish detective stories before or not, I know you'll like this one and be totally engaged from start to finish. The characters are well-developed, unique, quirky and three-dimensional. I enjoyed the author giving her readers an inside view of the Amish community, especially during dangerous and unpredictable times. I eagerly await the sequel to this novel!”

“Undercover Amish is the first Amish novel I've read, and I have to say it was a fascinating and insightful look into a different culture. Ashley Emma clearly did extensive research on the subject and portrayed this group in a compassionate, thoughtful manner. Couple her careful handling of this society with her compelling characters and heart-racing plot, and you've got a real winner!”
