Cleveland fans would never forget those words. There was much speculation whether or not Lebron would be the first pick in the NBA draft. Lebron was happy to stay home and play for his hometown team. His main focus would be to turn the Cleveland franchise around and take them to the NBA finals. It would be the start of an era that would ignite the Quicken Loans arena for decades to come. The endorsements, fans and critics came pouring in his first season with the Cavs. In his very first game against the Sacramento Kings, Lebron scored 25 points and set a NBA record for the most points scored by debut player. He was absolutely explosive in his first game. The crowd loved to watch him because he played the game with a tenacity and desire to win. Lebron went on to average 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game in his first season with the Cavaliers. He had a season high of 41 points on 3/27/2004 against the New Jersey Nets and it showed everyone that the kid from Akron was here to stay and make his mark on the game. It was no question that Lebron had talent, but would he be able to turn the Cavaliers around? The Cavs ended the season with a record of 35-47 and failed to make the playoffs. Even though they failed to make the playoffs, with Lebron on the roster, they had a massive 18 game improvement from the previous year. It became apparent that he was there to improve the dynamic of the team and push everyone around him to perform better.

Spiders Fun Facts: 25 Facts With Real Images For The Most Incredible Article about Spiders You'll Ever Read For Kids & Adults

by A.K. Williams

Spiders (request Araneae) are air-breathing arthropods that have eight legs and chelicerae with teeth ready to infuse venom. They are the biggest request of the 8-legged creature and rank seventh in absolute species decent variety among all requests of living beings. Spiders are discovered worldwide on each landmass aside from Antarctica and have turned out to be set up in almost every living space with the special cases of air and ocean colonization. As of November 2015, no less than 45,700 arachnid species, and 113 families have been recorded by taxonomists. Nonetheless, there has been dispute inside mainstream researchers with respect to how every one of these families ought to be characterized, as of confirming by the more than 20 unique orders that have been proposed since 1900. Anatomically, arachnids vary from different arthropods in that the standard body fragments are melded into two tagmata, the cephalothorax, and stomach area, and joined by a little, tube-shaped pedicel. In contrast to creepy crawlies, insects don't have to receive wires. In all with the exception of the crudest gathering, the Mesothelae, creepy crawlies have the most unified sensory systems all things considered, as all their ganglia are intertwined into one mass in the cephalothorax. In contrast to most arthropods, spiders have no extensor muscles in their appendages and rather expand them by water-powered weight. Their mid-regions bear members that have been altered into spinnerets that expel silk from up to six sorts of organs. Spider catching networks shift broadly in size, shape and the measure of sticky string utilized. It currently creates the impression that the winding sphere web might be one of the most punctual structures, and creepy crawlies that produce tangled webs are more plenteous and differing than circle web insects. A spider-like 8-legged creature with silk-delivering nozzles showed up in the Devonian time frame around 386 million years prior, however, these creatures evidently needed spinnerets. Genuine creepy crawlies have been found in Carboniferous rocks from 318 to 299 million years back, and are fundamentally the same as the crudest enduring suborder, the Mesothelae. The fundamental gatherings of present-day insects, Mygalomorphae and Araneomorphae, first showed up in the Triassic time frame, before 200 million years back.

SPIDER WOMAN - The Story of Navajo Weavers and Chanters

by Gladys A. Reichard

A STORY OF NAVAJO WEAVERS AND CHANTERSA Navajo Legend goes “Spider Woman instructed the Navajo women how to weave on a loom which Spider Man told them how to make. The crosspoles were made of sky and earth cords, the warp sticks of sun rays, the healds of rock crystal and sheet lightning. The batten was a sun halo, white shell made the comb. There were four spindles; one a stick of zigzag lightning with a whorl of cannel coal; one a stick of flash lightning with a whorl of turquoise; a third had a stick of sheet lightning with a whorl of abalone; a rain streamer formed the stick of the fourth, and its whorl was white shell."For anyone interested in weaving, this free ebook is a must. For anyone interested in weaving native American patterns on a hand loom, this book is an ABSOLUTE MUST!The Story of Navajo Weavers and Chanters is self-explanatory as to characters and circumstances. The only distortion of which I am conscious is a slight one of time and sequence. There is no twisting of facts; if there is of interpretation it is because of lack of understanding rather than of the will to understand. My acknowledgments must be necessarily feeble in proportion to the harvest I have reaped of good will and kindness. The first are due to the Southwest Society, which had enough faith in a dubious undertaking to start me on my way. I thank next the Council for Research in the Social Sciences of Columbia University, which kept me going once I had started. When I consider the service, spiritual and physical, rendered by the members of the J. L. Hubbell Trading Post, Ganado, Arizona, I am overwhelmed with the inadequacy of my vocabulary. Mr. Roman Hubbell, Old-Mexican's-Son, understood in a flash my somewhat difficult problems, and when he suggested Red-Point's family as the one with which to work he put the stamp of success on my project. He himself is a constant source of stimulation and inspiration as he follows my progress with ever-eager interest and coöperation. The sentiment applies equally to Mr. Lorenzo Hubbell of Oraibi.I cannot sign my name to this and leave out the word "hospitality." I find the Southwest ever hospitable and, in emphasizing my feeling of well-being there, must refer back to the residents of the Southwest previously mentioned as largely responsible for it. This includes all their families and many others which the exigencies of space forbid me naming individually.Gladys A. Reichard
