ZAZEN: The Essential Guide for Practicing Zen Meditation in the Lotus Position

by Bino Schree

If you're interested in learning to practice the art of Zazen meditation, then this book is for you!
Read on your PC, Mac, smart phone, tablet, or Kindle device.

Zazen (坐禪) is a kind of meditation practiced by a particular group of Japanese Buddhists, and literally means “to sit in meditation.” The focus of Zazen does not lie in the act of sitting or meditating itself, but rather in using certain actions to achieve enlightenment upon oneself. Think of Zen as the bow and Zazen as the arrow. The bow is the guiding theory behind the practice, while Zazen is the arrow which puts that practice into action. The better you understand the bow and the better you control the arrow, the better you’ll be at hitting your target. When done correctly, Zazen can bring awareness to your life, enabling you to discover a better, freer you. In this book, I'm going to guide you through the concepts of Zen and Zazen, the rituals involved in Zazen, how to actually practice Zazen, the four ways of sitting during Zazen, what to pay attention to with regard to your clothing, posture, and the cosmic mudra when practicing Zazen, as well as some meditative breathing techniques.

This is not your typical "Find Your Purpose" book.
The main point Ryan emphasizes throughout this whole book is that to completely fulfill the calling God has for you you're going to have to completely rely on Him. Your own self effort will not get you there - only a reliance on His grace.

The Church, the Antichrist and the Tribulation: Exposing the Kingdom of Satan

by Doris Bouyer

Do you have unanswered questions about end time events? Who is the Antichrist? When will the Rapture occur? Will the Church go through the tribulation? When will the world as we know it come to an end?

There are so many movies, TV ministries and books about Bible prophecy most with a different point of view. Doris Bouyer made a commitment to research the Scriptures to find out just what was written about prophecy. To her amazement the author discovered precise answers to her prophecy questions as well as the unmistakable order of end time events.

Bouyer was then left with a different set of questions. “Why are there so many errors and deceptions about prophecy being propagated to the masses?” “Why is the truth being hidden?” The author realized the answer to these questions can be found in the same age old story of man being deceived by Satan.

“The Church, the Antichrist and the Tribulation: Exposing the Kingdom of Satan” is a Chronological Reference Guide to prophecy that provides accurate answers with Scripture documentation. This book is for people who want to know "Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?” of all prominent figures and major events in Bible prophecy. It is a MUST READ BOOK for Christians who do not want to be deceived.

Listed here are a few of the covert satanic schemes discussed in “The Church, the Antichrist and the Tribulation: Exposing the Kingdom of Satan.”
• NWO: One-world Government–Ten World Unions and Ten World Union Kings
• BABYLON THE GREAT: Rebuilt Ancient City of Babylon
• The Pre-tribulation Counterfeit Rapture
• A European Leader: the Antichrist
• An American President: the False Prophet
• A Pope: Head of One-world Apostate Church and the “Ecumenical Movement”
• New Health Care Law: Implantable Microchip Mandated
• Man’s DNA Structure Modified by “666” Microchip: “Transhumanism”
• Millions of Jews Massacred in Jerusalem Others Sent into Exile
• Christianity Outlawed World-wide: Millions of Christians Beheaded by Guillotine
• Millions of People Abducted: Harvested for Fallen Angels in Underground Facilities
• Firmament Dome over the Earth: Outer Space is Water

“The Church, the Antichrist and the Tribulation: Exposing the Kingdom of Satan” provides penetrating discernment into Bible prophecies that will happen during the next 25 years that could culminate in the end of time as we know it. The advance in technology makes it possible to preach the Gospel to all nations by the end of this quarter century. The successful completion of the “Great Commission” means that this age could draw to a close around the year 2038. This time frame coincides with the generation that witnessed the rebirth of Israel as a nation in 1948–the “generation of the fig tree.” This is the generation that will not pass away until the prophetic Scriptures are fulfilled. This is the generation that will witness the return of Jesus.

Knowing the truth about Bible prophecy is crucial so as not to be deceived in the last days. Reading the pages of “The Church, the Antichrist and the Tribulation: Exposing the Kingdom of Satan” will bring to light the hidden truths about end time prophecies–an experience that will be SHOCKING, INFORMATIVE and EMPOWERING.

Dreams Interpreting The 50 Most Common Dreams: Guide To Their Symbols, Meaning And Purpose

by Cheryl Leonard

Dreams provide a powerful source of insight for learning. How we remember, interpret, and use them, can help us to solve problems and achieve goals in our lives. They are emotions, images, or thoughts that occur in our unconscious mind during sleep. The average person has between approximately 3 to 7 dreams per night, with up to two hours dreaming time. Approximately 95% of all dreams are forgotten once awakened. During a lifetime an average of approximately 6 years will be spent dreaming. This guide illustrates types or categories of dreams. It details symbols with their meaning and purpose, and provides techniques to help with dream interpretation. Dream interpretation is known to be subjective, for multiple experts may interpret the same dream in many different ways. This book highlights the 50 most common dreams that are considered universal dreams. These are dreams with a certain theme that is common across many different cultures.

The Epistle of James

by Lee Jr, James Thomas

The five individual chapter commentaries on the epistle of James that I have written have been incorporated into one text of the entire epistle. The first two chapter commentaries were written in 1998 and have been greatly modified for this text. The intent was to clean up some of the very poorly worded text in the first two editions and to show important Bible verses rather than just refer to them. An effort has also been made to convert previously used first person language with more formal third person language. That having been said and in looking at the first chapter of the epistle of James, it considers authorship, the date that the epistle was written, and the basis for its acceptance into the biblical canon. With a strong focus on the Greek language, the goal has been to perform good exegesis on the original text. Among the topics examined are enduring temptation, receiving a crown of life, living one's faith everyday, and recognizing pure and undefiled religion.

In considering the second chapter of the epistle of James, one should note that it focuses on NOT being a respecter of persons, on everyone's guilt by the law, on faith without works, and on justification by works. People often struggle with the contrast between Paul's writings of faith and between James' writings of works. So the below discussions will show the relationship between the two and how they work together in a Christian's life. In the first part of the third chapter of the epistle of James, the author warned spiritual leaders within the church about being God-called and about being God-prepared for their respective ministries. In the second part of the third chapter, James wrote about the wisdom that comes from the Lord. He began by asking who among them was wise and had knowledge. His implied answer was that wisdom and knowledge rest with the godly simply because they are indwelled by the Holy Spirit.

In the first part of the fourth chapter of the epistle of James, the author had written about the unanswered selfish prayers of those people that primarily pray for what they want. The obvious conclusion is that truly godly people should always pray for what the Lord wants of them rather than for what they might hope to get for themselves from Him. In the second part of the fourth chapter, he had written about the importance of putting the Lord first in all things. After that, he had given his recipe for holy living. It is to submit oneself to the Lord and to resist the devil. Finally, he had written about the importance of the saints of God NOT speaking inappropriately or harshly about one another or to one another. In chapter five of his epistle, James had concluded his writing to his brethren by encouraging them to not be troubled by their poverty or by their mistreatment by others. He concluded by saying that the most important thing in this life is to be SAVED and to be in a personal eternal relationship with the Lord. Therefore, it is very important for the saints of God to live in such a way that it will promote true biblical salvation among many people. Jesus had offered Himself on the cross at Calvary so that NOT SAVED sinners can be reconciled to Him. Therefore, those people that are SAVED should desire to see others get SAVED, too.

Secrets of the Ancient World, Shangri-La: The Himalayan Journals of M.G. Hawking

by M.G. Hawking

Explore the first modern account of the reality of an extraordinary legend that has endured from the very threshold of history, the Fabled Lost World of Shangri-La.First depicted in the novel Lost Horizon (Hilton, 1933), the concept for Shangri-La was inspired by the legends of Shambhala that are so prevalent in the ancient wisdom traditions of cultures throughout the Himalayan regions of Asia and beyond.Scholars relate that the 4000 year-old scriptures of the pre-Tibetan Zhang Zhung culture are the earliest extant references to this mysterious realm, yet it is represented in a wide range of ancient texts: the pre-Buddhist B’on writings, the Kalki lore, the Puranas, in the earliest texts of the Kalachakra Laghutantra, and in the even more ancient Kalachakra Mulatantra. The Zhang Zhung and Tibetan scriptures refer to the hidden sanctuary as Shambhala I lam-yig, B’on treaties as Olmolungring, Hindu histories as Aryavarth, Chinese as Hsi Tien, and Russian traditions as Belovoyde. In the Western world, it has of course become best known as Shambhala, Shamballa, or Shangri-La.In an esoteric treatise composed in the early 1500s by Ensapa Lobsang Döndrup, the Third Panchen Lama describes his extraordinary visit to a land of wise masters hidden in the Himalayas. A rare manuscript written in 1592 by Antonio Monserrate, a Spanish missionary to the court of the Mughal emperor Akbar, speaks of his experiences in a remote valley in the high mountains where great sages resided. A remarkably similar account is found as recently as the late 1700s, written by the esteemed Sixth Panchen Lama, Lobsang Palden Yeshe. On an extended trek in a closed and largely unexplored inner region of the majestic Himalayan wilderness, in an isolated valley surrounded by vast snow fields and towering ice peaks, explorer M.G. Hawking chanced on a beautiful small village where he encountered remarkable men and women, introduced to him as “masters” and “adepts.”Our team at Wisdom Masters Press has worked diligently to compose a series of books based on Hawking’s records of his five years in a remote region of the Himalayas and the highlands of Tibet. This was a complex assignment; Hawking had accumulated over 14,000 pages of hand-written journal notes, along with another 4,500 pages of field notes, all of which had to be sorted, cataloged, and organized in a manner conducive to producing books from such a treasury of material. Yet it was a fascinating if formidable task, one which so often filled us with a deep sense of wonder and inspiration. We have published a book series, ‘In The Valley of Supreme Masters,’ covering the first several years Hawking spent in the Himalayas and Tibet, along with a number of companion volumes, each of which focuses on specific topical or experiential material. This book, The Passage to Shangri-La, contains an anthology drawn from both the primary series and the companion volumes. These anthological narratives contain detailed accounts of Hawking’s various experiences and conversations, including first-hand accounts of the psychokinetic abilities he witnessed and in-depth descriptions of his discussions with the masters and sages, revealing the esoteric knowledge that made such extraordinary abilities possible.A truly incomparable book for anyone interested in greatly expanding their knowledge and personal power, and notably fascinating for anyone interested in exploring the realities underlying the ancient legends of Shangri-La.For more information, please see the ‘Look Inside’ feature on this page. Thank you.July 2016 Release, Kindle Edition page count 252 (estimated, varies with the reading device used).

Descent from Infinities, Secrets of the Ancient World

by M.G. Hawking

Explore the mysterious origin of the Universe, the evidence and knowledge of sophisticated civilizations as ancient as 22,000 years, and the possible lineage of their builders.“The human mind is not capable of grasping the universe. We are like a little child entering a huge library. The walls are covered to the ceilings with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written these books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books, a mysterious order which it does not comprehend, but dimly perceives.” —Albert EinsteinThe Hubble Telescope has revealed that there are more than two trillion galaxies in the observable universe. To put this in perspective, if you hold a single grain of sand at arm’s length against the night sky, the tiny patch of sky it hides contains more than 100,000 galaxies—not 100,000 stars, 100,000 galaxies. It is impossible not to wonder where this incomprehensibly enormous universe came from. The consensus among cosmologists and physicists is that the universe as we know it originated from infinite conditions within a singularity that not only created the universe, it created space and time, all the matter that surrounds us, and created as well the physical laws that govern our entire cosmos.“Is the essence of infinity the uncountable, the immeasurable? Or is infinity the ultimate, complete, perfect entity?” —Enrico Bombieri, Ph.D., von Neumann Professor Emeritus“Space, time, and matter are not eternal, their first emergence into being is a miracle beside which all others dwindle into absolute insignificance.” —William KnightNASA’s Kepler Space Observatory has identified the existence of 4696 exoplanet candidates and 3414 confirmed exoplanets, that is, planets existing outside of our solar system. “Now we know that we’re just one of billions of small worlds that are very much like ours,” explains NASA’s Dr. William Kinney. “If you extrapolate that to our galaxy as a whole, which has more than 200 billion stars in it, the calculation based on the Kepler data is that there are around 40 billion planets like earth.”“We might expect intelligent life and technological communities to have emerged in the universe billions of years ago. Given that human society is only a few thousand years old, and that human technological society is mere centuries old, the nature of a community with millions or even billions of years of technological and social progress cannot even be imagined.” —Paul Davies, Ph.D.The creation stories of civilizations worldwide relate that their progenitors came from the stars or the heavens. Native Americans recount that their antecedents were “The Sky People” and “Star Beings.” The builders of Teotihuacan describe their gods as having descended from the heavens. Egyptian texts speak of their “bringers of knowledge” coming from Sahu and Sopdit (Orion and Sirius). The pre-Tibetan Zhang Zhung traditions, those of the Mayans, the pre-Incans, the Sumerians, and so many others, all express the same account in diverse symbolic languages—their “gods” came from the stars, bringing advanced knowledge and the gift of civilization. These cultures were greatly separated both geographically and chronologically, yet their creation stories are strikingly similar and, in many cases, virtually identical. What could explain this?Explore answers to these intriguing questions and discover knowledge that for long millenniums has remained concealed under layers of legend and secrecy. An incomparable book for anyone interested in ancient cultures, their wisdom and origin. 2017 New Release, Kindle e-reader page count 267 (estimated, count varies with the reading device used).

Is Your Love Becoming Cold?: Nine Powerful Steps That Will Reignite Your Christian Love

by Michael Caputo

As we read God's Word we come across many encouraging Scriptures and some very sobering ones. One such Scripture is found in Matthew 24:12. "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold." This is a prophecy about what will befall many Christians in the last days -- our days! This is a warning which we must heed, so as to make sure that we are not a part of the "many."
This book discusses the major reasons why "many" Christians will decay spiritually, with the intent of immunizing the reader against the deadly spiritual virus which will destroy a great many Christians before the return of Jesus Christ.

Saints Mark & Luke: If Statements (Gospel Topics Series Book 3)

by Clinton LeFort

This is a compilation of the first two volumes of study on the If Statements in the Gospels of Saints Luke and Mark.
This book is a combination of the study on the If statements of Jesus in the Gospels of

Saints Mark & Luke.

Introduction One

This is the first volume of Gospel Topics, which treat of the many different kinds of topics addressed in the New Testament Gospels. This is discussed from a layman’s viewpoint, and no biblical knowledge of ancient languages is required. The author seeks to shed light on these eternal topics that have become so important in our lives today, but at once addressed at the time of the writing of the New Testament.

IF Statements
There are many conditional statements used by Mark in his Gospel. This book will look at each one of them and come to some understanding of how they relate to our life in Christ. The Greek term used by Mark is transliterated to “ean,” which means “in case that,” or “provided.” St. Mark’s statements can also bring with it a sense of indefiniteness or uncertainty. St. Mark records Jesus or those whom Jesus spoke to as using “if statements” at least 23 times in the Gospel. This book takes each one of the “if statements” and gives some understudying of the purpose of the “if statement.”

Introduction Two

This is the second volume of Gospel Topics, which treat of the many different kinds of topics addressed in the New Testament Gospels. This is discussed from a layman’s viewpoint, and no biblical knowledge of ancient languages is required. The author seeks to shed light on these eternal topics that have become so important in our lives today, but at once addressed at the time of the writing of the New Testament. Gospel Topics is a way in which we can study the bible systematically and thoroughly, while the Gospel has many topics which we would not encounter unless we searched for them, it gives each person the advantage of arriving at a deeper love of God and his Word. We can use Gospel Topics as part of our daily bible study plan.

IF Statements
There are many conditional statements used by Luke in his Gospel. This book will look at each one of them and come to some understanding of how they relate to our life in Christ. The Greek term used by Luke is transliterated to “ean,” which means “in case that,” or “provided.” St. Luke’s statements can also bring with it a sense of indefiniteness or uncertainty. St. Luke records Jesus or those whom Jesus spoke to as using “if statements” at least 45 times in the Gospel. This book takes each one of the “if statements” and gives some understudying of the purpose of the “if statement.”
The Heart of Jesus is consoled when we spend time with him in reading and reflecting the scriptures. The reflections that follow are focused on spending 1-3 minutes daily reading a passage and praying in the presence of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and allowing him to enlighten us in prayer. We can carry the passage with us throughout the day and return at a later time to continue our meditation. The important effort is to “pray always” as Jesus taught us and to “not lose heart.”

Suggestions for how to use this Book

First, pray to the Holy Spirit for light and the grace of prayer.

Secondly, read the passage from St. Luke prayerfully.

Thirdly, read the reflection that is provided on each page.

Fourthly, if the Holy Spirit enlightens or moves you to stop reading and to thank, praise or love God at any time during reading, put the e-reader aside and continue in prayer.

Fifthly, if you begin to wander off from your prayer, pick up your e-reader and continue where you left off.

By dividing your time between prayerful reading, meditation and quiet prayer you will on your way to building your relationship with God between the lines and between the pages, which is the purpose of any spiritual book.

Are you aware of a seemingly elusive feeling deep inside you that feels very good? It is like an inner smile, with warmth, light, and radiance. When we open up and relax into that inner feeling, we feel as though everything is right with the world, and that we already bountifully have anything we could reasonably want or need. It is a feeling of a deep contentment, a profound fulfillment, and an exalted sense of well-being. Some say that being firmly established in that most excellent inner feeling is the ultimate purpose of life. An ancient Eastern proverb says: Contentment is the highest goal.

There is only one time that great feeling can be experienced: that is now, this very moment. That great inner feeling is the most profound Truth. It is the secret of the ages, and it is also the Truth of the present moment. We only experience it when we look within. This is the ultimate reason that people meditate or do other spiritual practices—to experience that bliss within our own Self. There are innumerable meditation techniques and methods of practice, but the primary goal in life is to experience that wondrous feeling of our own inner Self.

Ordinarily we are caught up in thoughts and emotions, which take place in time, and which are usually related to the past or the future. Many of our habitual patterns of thought and feeling are of a negative or limiting nature, because we were conditioned or programmed that way from the time we were very young.

Such habitual ways of thinking and feeling lead to stress, tension, and conflict. Instead of life being a joy, a natural high, we go to the doldrums. We spend our days angry, depressed, irritated, insecure, and life seems hard. All this happens because we ignore the awareness and power inherent in the existing moment.

Only in the present moment do we have access to happiness, joy, love, contentment, peace, and the other positive, uplifting feelings.

This book was designed for beginners who want to live the present moment and practice mindfulness to get more out of their life.
