How to Stop Being Jealous: Discover How to Overcome Jealousy Issues and Feel Secure in Your Relationship

by Reena Summers

If you're ready to improve your relationship by learning how to overcome jealousy, then this book is for you!
Read on your PC, Mac, smart phone, tablet, or Kindle device.

Let's face it: Occasionally there may be a valid reason for you to feel jealous and resentful because of something that your partner did (or failed to do). Unfortunately, this jealousy in turn affects and strains your relationship. But even worse are situations when the jealousy actually stems from your own feelings of inadequacy or insecurity. Too often, an otherwise healthy relationship is completely wrecked by too many suspicions and failing trust or faith in the other partner. All because of baseless and unfounded fits of jealousy. Thus, the focus of this book is to discuss (and eliminate) the latter scenario where we operate on the premise that there is nothing to be jealous about and these pangs of jealousy are only unfounded suspicions that need to be shed and swept away once and for all. Based on the assumption that the relationship is otherwise secure, stable, and healthy, the jealous partner (most likely you, since you're reading this) must learn to be able to contain any raging feelings of jealousy in order to make the relationship survive, thrive, and prosper for a full, secure, and happy life together. In this book you will find the help you're looking for, including assistance in developing the skills needed to help you understand the reality of your situation through a new perspective; tactics to help you rebuild your relationship and put it on the right path; guidelines for letting go of jealousy once and for all; and tips for sustaining a healthy relationship to ensure future success. So if you're finally ready to kick the green monster out of your life for good, then let's get started!

tattvam: a family's self-discovery

by Srinivas B. Vijayaraghavan

Ramesh and Lakshmi Tattvam raise their two sons in a middle class household in an idyllic Bangalore that is slowly beginning to feel the growth winds of post-liberalization India. As parents, they have high hopes of emotional and financial support from their older overachieving son, Akash while doubting the capabilities of their inscrutable younger son, Prithvi who silent deals with psychological problems that he does not reveal to his parents. Ramesh wants to retire early in order to start his own consulting business and expects that Akash will support the family financially.
Those growth winds soon turn stormy for the Tattvams as they give flight to the aspirations of Akash, who moves to the U.S. to study, much to his parent’s disapproval. In the U.S., he falls in love with and marries a Chinese girl Pei Li, against his parents’ wishes, which completely breaks his relationship with them. Broken and disillusioned with Akash, the Tattvams soldier on with the support of their younger son. Prithvi also finds love in childhood friend and confidant, Vasumita but loses her to marriage, only to rekindle that love after she returns home to a cold welcome after walking out on an abusive husband. Their rekindled relationship faces scrutiny not only from their respective families but also from society.
Prithvi finds strength to overcome his psychological problems to build a career for himself as a technical content writer, while being a pillar of support for his parents and Vasumita, who moves out of her parents ‘home and lives on her own, managing a successful career. Ramesh and Lakshmi find their second winds in a millennial India. Ramesh, an expert in the Electrical industry becomes a world renowned blogger with Prithvi’s help and maintains a blog site called ‘Wisdom Electric’. Lakshmi pursues her singing ambitions and powered by her immense talent, becomes a much sought after lead singer of a traveling classical singing group, ‘The Traveling Lakshmi’s’ and travels the world.
Meanwhile, Akash’s career falters as he watches his wife supersede him on the work front. His early promise fades as he struggles to convert potential into performance. He grows increasingly jealous of Pei and feels isolated, frustrated and rudderless without his parents in his life, but is too proud to make up with them. In this turmoil, Pei makes contact with Prithvi and helps promote Ramesh’s blog online while understanding more about why the family broke up.
Pei’s attempts to get Akash to reconcile with his parents are stonewalled by his bruised ego and Prithvi’s attempts to get his parents to make peace with Akash only finds them being obstinate. When Pei becomes pregnant with the family’s first grandchild, she resolves to find a way to reunite the family so that her child enters the world in a healed family environment where there is peaceful co-existence. With Akash unwilling to budge and Prithvi unwilling to interfere beyond a point, she looks for an able ally to help devise and execute her master plan to reunite this family.
Set against the backdrop of post liberalization India, Tattvam is the saga of a family that evolves over time to rediscover its essence as a connected being.

How to Raise Children for Christ (Updated and Annotated): A Guide for Excellent Christian Parenting

by Andrew Murray

I will put my trust in Him ... Behold I and the children which God has given me – Hebrews 2:13This book is different from most books on raising children. It is a plea for the parents to truly know and walk with God – for them to love God and His Word. In the correct order, focusing first on the parents, Andrew Murray then urges parents to sincerely and consistently love their children and in all tenderness and gentleness teach them as God also teaches us.Children are a most precious gift that we receive from God, and they deserve our very best. Our faithful training will not be lost on our children; this is a promise found over and over again in the Scriptures. If our hearts are right towards God and our children, the world's influence will not impact our children. We can and must exercise faith, so our children and our children's children will be able to impact the world for Christ and inherit eternal blessings.A few of the parenting topics covered in this book:•What sin did to the family and how to redeem that which was lost.•The distinct and also shared roles of fathers and mothers.•How and why to teach children manners.•How to show children the Scriptures in a way that takes root in the heart.•How to teach with a quiet, gentle spirit, as God teaches us.•How to intercede effectively in prayer for our children.About the AuthorAndrew Murray (1828-1917) was a well-known South African writer, teacher, and pastor. More than 2 million copies of his books have been sold, and his name is mentioned among the other great leaders of the past such as Charles Spurgeon, T. Austin-Sparks, George Muller, D.L. Moody, and more.

Avoid Falling in Love with a Jerk: Follow Your Heart and Don’t Fall in Love With a Jerk

by Daytona Watterson

Unlike the majority of books on dating, “Avoid Falling in Love with a Jerk” by Daytona Watterson, draws on real life experiences to show you the consequences of dating a jerk!

The first thing that this book will do is show you how you need to use your head to first choose guys that you should be dating. Once you limit the field of eligible guys, then you learn how to listen to the heart for finding the right guy. Too many girls are doing it the opposite way, then trying to make excuses for a guy who turns out to be a jerk. By this point, the heart is attached and the ability to break free becomes more of a challenge. This book will unveil why girls are dating jerks and you get to see first hand how those choices will cause you years of pain.

In her book, Avoid Falling in Love with a Jerk, Daytona Watterson—authority on relationship advice—shows you step by step techniques how to identify the wrong type of guy long before you become emotionally attached. Once you understand the tell-tale signs he is more trouble than he is worth, you will be in a better position to control your own relationship destiny. When you understand the secrets of being able to identify a jerk quickly, you will be able to finally build long-lasting loving relationships.

~ I was that girl who fell head over heels for every guy that drove a fast car or acted like he was better than everyone else in the room. I would find myself being drawn to guys who treated girls poorly, because I thought I was going to be the girl who finally tamed this wild animal. More often than not, I spent those years in miserable relationships and continued to spiral downward soon after I broke free from one jerk. I was doing everything backwards, allowing my heart to fall so hard that by the time my head realized this guy was bad news I was too far gone. You have done the same thing too, and you look back and want to kick yourself for giving away all that time to someone who didn’t even appreciate you. In my latest book, you are going to learn from my personal experiences how to spot these jerks from a mile away, and how to finally grab control of your life and make the best decisions for you. I will reveal the secrets to breaking that destructive habit and finally finding the perfect guy for you. Daytona ~

From Handguns to Paintbrushes: A Memoir of Self-Destruction, Rock Bottom, Hope, Change, and Love

by de Leyer, Joseph "Jeff"

Jeff de Leyer is the grandson of a Dutch immigrant and equestrian champion, Harry de Leyer. This in itself, created an impression of a young man born into a world of privilege and entitlement. However, this could not be any further from the truth. His biological mother and father abandoned him on a doorstep when he was only three years old, leaving him with a void that was nearly impossible to fill. Jeff spent his teen and young adult years on the streets of New York making a name for himself as a drug dealer. This is where he not only found acceptance, but also a sense of family he so desperately wanted and needed. In 1998 at 21 years of age, Jeff was arrested and later convicted of a gang-related murder, after a drug deal went horribly wrong. In prison, he was a high-ranking member of the United Blood Nation, involving him in gang wars, fights, and riots. Rock bottom came years later at the age of 39. At this point, the only thing he was looking for was redemption. He decided it was time to walk away from the only life he had ever known. This is the compelling and true story of the rise and fall of a New York Ecstasy Kingpin. It is an eye-opening excursion through the pulse of the drug world, street life, drug addiction, prison, art and true love. Through his passion for art, desire for education and love, he rose above his circumstances to embrace a new vision of the world around him.

Sleep Scenes: 50 scenarios to help your child drift off to sleep

by Andrea Komadori

What happens when you leave your child's room each night? Does your child drift off to sleep quickly or stay awake for ages? What happens right at the end of the bedtime routine before sleep? Often we leave it to chance. Sleep Scenes is a chance to change this.

The book was written to answer the question “Daddy what can I think about?” It is a collection of 50 scenes that children can enter into and loose themselves in as they drift off to sleep. They offer a way for children to switch off from busy thoughts about the day, and a way to create fantastic dream worlds from the comfort of their bed.

Sleep Scenes aren't bedtime stories for children, but rather stories for children to create after they have finished listening to or reading their bedtime story. Sleep Scenes are scenarios for your child to think about before they fall asleep. The Sleep Scenes ease children from being awake into going to sleep. Each Sleep Scene is short to read but offers the opportunity of endless imaginary possibilities.

Your child’s imagination is limitless. Often however, a child’s imagination competes with a multitude of conflicting and distracting stimuli. In bed though, after the lights have gone out and your child is left alone, there is a chance for your child to exercise their imagination. Many children can just do this but some children need help to enter the hinterland between wakefulness and sleep. Even those that can just drift off, sometimes welcome some help and some ideas.

Sleep Scenes can also be used in other situations such as long car journeys. They are a good way to start off a day dream.

Using Sleep Scenes not only provides a welcome addition to your child's bedtime routine, but it is a great way to grow happy, imaginative, contented children.

Beautifully Broken

by W Poet

He was a Warrior poet with a broken soul, and she, an Angel whisper, that cries on a cloud alone. You ever just want to fight for two people you know should be together. You want to give them that hope, that vision to see through the fog of loneliness, and lost dreams. To find one another. This is that story, there are many fragments missing but I have put it together as best I can. I am not an author so forgive me.It is not such an uncommon story anymore. Two people meet online and they fall in love, but back in 2006 it was a new world. Cyberspace, where two souls meet: no filters, just our words, our thoughts. People meet this way and marry all the time these days, but my love story became my tragedy.I guess I am sharing this because the memory has been trapped too long. Why is it that we need others to share our pain?within the flow of tears from our bleeding hearts we stain others, allowing ourselves to heal.No one saw me bleed, no one knew about us. Falling in love with someone thousands of miles away and never hearing their voice, never looking into their eyes, never feeling the warmth of their skin...I told no one, not my family not my Friends, and when the walls came crashing down, I had no one to hold, and so I fell.W.P.

The Leader in You: Twenty Lessons Designed to Release the Christian Leader in Your Child

by Mark J Musser

HELP YOUR CHILDREN LEAD THE NEXT GENERATION, NOT FOLLOW IT!While interviewing a 104 year-old woman, a reporter asked, "What do you think is the best thing about being over 100?"Her quick reply? "No peer pressure."For the rest of us, however, peer pressure is a very real thing. For children and teens, it is most definitely a powerful force that exerts a strong gravitational pull on their young lives. Peer pressure will influence their hair-style, their clothing choices, what kind of shoes they want, the shows they watch, the language they use, the attitudes they exude, the beliefs and values they hold, and much more. The Kaiser Foundation found that almost half of adolescents between the ages of 12-18 feel pressured into having sex. This leads to the inevitable. Three million teens are infected by STDs every year. Meanwhile, 9% of fourteen year-olds, 18% of 15-17 year-olds, and 22% of 18-19 year-olds get pregnant every year. When it comes to drugs, 30% of teens report being offered drugs in middle school and high school. Meanwhile, in recent years, the percentage of eighth graders who used marijuana doubled from one in ten to one in five. Sadly, in regards to smoking and drinking, the statistics are no better. 3.1 million American teens smoke, while 22.2% have their first alcoholic beverage before the age of thirteen. On average, one teen will die every three hours in an alcohol related accident. What causes our cute and cuddly kids to become part of these statistics? What transforms childhood innocence into teenage trouble? What changes our six year-old who holds our hand crossing the street into a sixteen year-old who binge drinks and engages in risky sexual behavior? While there is more than one reason for the statistics mentioned above, one of the main reasons is that parents are not teaching their children to consistently stand for truth, constantly fight for what's right, or continually make decisions based on biblical principles. Yet, children trained to be leaders do not follow the crowd. The crowd follows them. Children trained to be leaders are thermostats that set the room's temperature not thermometers that simply reflect the room's temperature. And children trained to be leaders frequently impact those around them instead of being frequently impacted upon. The Bible reminds us that our children are gifts from the Lord. We are charged to care for and protect these precious gifts. It is not enough to make sure our kids eat balanced meals, do their homework, get exercise, and learn to say "please" and "thank you." We must teach them to be leaders. We must enable them direct the culture not be directed by the culture. We must train them to stand for truth and justice, not silently stand down in the face of opposition. We must do this and so much more.Let The Leader in You be one tool to help you do just that.

How To Build An Intimate Relationship: Wisdom From Songs Of Solomon

by J Blest

Intimacy is what many people are seeking when they get into a relationship especially with the opposite sex. Unfortunately many of those who get into such relationships do not understand and appreciate that having intimacy in a relationship depends on whether you are knowledgeable about certain principles that govern true intimacy and whether or not you are willing to live by them. Many people mistakenly think that experiencing intimacy in a relationship is something they can stumble upon or something that develops simply because they desire it. Nothing is further from the truth. Intimacy is something you consciously build towards by applying the principles that govern its birth, growth and maturity. The search for intimacy in relationships has left many heartbroken and disillusioned with many concluding that intimacy is something that only exists in soap operas and romance novels. Many unanswered questions linger in the hearts and minds of people whether true intimacy can be experienced in a relationship. The doubt in the masses is understandable when you consider the many dysfunctional homes many people have come from. There was no modeling of true intimacy between parents. Some parents decided to stay together not because they loved each other any more but because of their children or because they would loose much more if the society they were staying in discovered they were no longer together. Having come from dysfunctional homes or having witnessed dysfunctional homes many ask themselves “Is there any hope for those in the twenty first century to build and have a lasting, fulfilling and intimate relationship with one partner? Is there any hope for intimacy when husband and wife separate on their first night of marriage after a colorful wedding? The answers to these questions will largely depend on where we turn to for principles on building intimate relationships. If we turn to the WORLD all we will see and get are the glaring statistics of divorces in our day. However if we turn to THE WORD OF GOD we will get sound and lasting wisdom on how to build an intimate relationship that will stand the test of time.In seeking instruction and wisdom for establishing intimacy in relationships we will borrow heavily from the books of Genesis and from Songs of Solomon. The book of Genesis will give us the foundation for intimate relationships while the book of Songs of Solomon will give us the material for building an intimate relationship. The content of this book is targeted to those who hope to have an intimate relationship that will lead to marriage with the opposite sex. This book offers great insight for those in courtship while challenging those who are married to re-evaluate their relationship. I encourage those who are hurt and disillusioned from previous relationships and those seeking an intimate relationship to read this book. I believe the book will shed light in the darkness and bring them to the place where they can experience intimacy in their relationships. I humbly recommend the contents of this book to those who are in courtship and those who conduct courtship and marriage seminars.

POLYAMORY: To Love More Than One

by Dr. Julia Sanders

Polyamory – The Love Of More Than OneMost people think that their only options are to find monogamous love or spend their life alone forever, but the most basic fact about humanity is that we're all different and there are so many different ways to find love and happiness. Polyamory is one of those options, and it can come in many different forms. The world polyamory comes from a combination of the Greek world poly, which means many or several, and the Latin word amor, which means love. In the simplest terms, it is the desire or the practice of sharing intimate relationship with two or more partners, where all of the partners are aware of all of the other partners. This makes it different than cheating, because all of the partners involved remain aware of everything that might affect their dynamic. Everything that happens within the dynamic is ethical, consensual, and responsible. Just because you are open to multiple partners, does not mean that it's open season and you can do whatever you want, with whomever you want. Full communication is essential in a functioning, healthy polyamorous relationship. This book looks at polyamory, polygamy and other forms of multiple partner relationships.
