Data Science and Machine Learning 2.0 Using Python 3.7: : with Live OpenCV and TensorFlow Projects

by Narendra Mohan Mittal

How to Use This BookData science is an umbrella term that includes data analytics, data mining, ML, and any specific domain expertise pertaining to the field of work. Machine learning (ML) is an amazing subfield of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that tries to mimic the learning behavior of humans. The first section of this book explains Machine Learning, Data Science 2.0, Big Data and Data Analysis. The second section of this book explains the Data Science Process and Analysis and Big Data Analytics and Ethnography. The third section of this book explains the Python 3.7 Tutorial with examples. The fourth section of this book explains how to Create Game and Live Voting App using Pygame and Python with Web Crawling. The fifth section of this book explains Create Computer Vision based Robot using OpenCV. The sixth section of this book explains Create Reinforcement Learning based Robot. The last section of this book explains TensorFlow Tutorial.Table of Contents1.Machine Learning and Data Science 2.02.Big Data and Data Analysis3.The Data Science Process and Analysis4.Big Data Analytics and Ethnography5.Python 3.7 Tutorial with Examples6.User-Defined Functions In Python7.Testing the Python Projects8.Create Game using Pygame and Python9.Create Live Voting App10.Web Crawling with Python11.Data Transforming with Data Science 2.012.Create Computer Vision based Robot using OpenCV13.Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)14.Create Reinforcement Learning based Robot15.Artificial Intelligence and eLearning16.TensorFlow Tutorial17.How to use Built-in Fixtures in PythonData science 2.0Data science is a concept that includes several aspects of handling the data such as acquiring the data from one or more sources, data cleansing, data preparation, and creating new data points based on existing data. It includes performing data analytics. It also encompasses using one or more data mining or ML techniques on the data to infer knowledge to create an algorithm that performs a task on unseen data. This concept also includes deploying the algorithm in a way that it is useful to perform the designated tasks in the future.Big DataThis chapter aims to present other definitions for Big Data, as well as technologies, analysis techniques, issues, challenges and trends related to Big Data. It also looks at the role and profile of the Data Scientist, in reference to functionality, academic background, and required skills. The result is a global overview of what Big Data is, and how this new form is leading the world towards a new way of social construction, consumption, and processes.Data Mining and Machine LearningMachine learning refers to the methods or algorithms that are used as an alternative to traditional statistical methods. When we apply these methods in the analysis of data, these are termed data mining.Recommender systems, collaborative filtering, association rules, optimization methods based on heuristics, as well as a myriad of methods for regression, classification, and clustering are all examples of machine learning.Machine learning, however, is data-adaptive: model specification is defined by applying algorithms to the data. With machine learning, a few assumptions are made about the underlying distributions of the data.Create Computer Vision based Robot using OpenCVComputer vision allows us to perform much more complex tasks than we can with microcontrollers alone. To prepare for working with vision, we installed a basic webcam on the robot. This took special consideration since these webcams are not designed to be mounted. Of course, your solution is likely different from mine, so you were able to exercise some creativity in mounting the camera. After that, we were ready to install OpenCV.

Python Ninja: Level 1

by Dr. Code

Python is one of the fastest growing high level programming languages because it is easy to learn and very powerful. Python was designed with the beginning programmer in mind. It is easy to read and learn because it uses common expressions and white spaces instead of curly brackets, semicolons, etc. Python also enables you to use less code to complete basic tasks. As a result, Python code is often much shorter and easier to read than Java, C++, etc. And best of all, since the syntax is less complex, it's easier to understand the fundamental concepts of programming, making it it is easier for you to learn other programming languages.

Software Design Patterns 2.0: UI and UX Design Principles and Tips

by Narendra Mohan Mittal

How to Design Software with InnovationIn this chapter, I will cover the ways in which product ideas can be formed, explored, and evaluated for startups. These are the essential skills that separate startup product designers from UX designers at large companies or graphic designers whose job scope does not include many of the business and personal considerations. How to use DevOps in Software Design and UI/UXDevOps is not just a methodology for developers. Operations too has its share of the benefits pie. With increased automation, operations went from being a mundane job to an innovative one. DevOps comes into play when you get started with the software development process, which is the requirement gathering phase. It ends when the software retires from service. It will continue to function until the software is used by its designated users. In other words, DevOps is here to stay and stay for as long as services are delivered.Table of Contents1.How to Design Best Software Products?2.Software Designing Tips and Hacks3.Product and Software Designers Characteristics4.How to Design Software with Innovation5.How to use DevOps in Software Design6.How to Design Packages7.How to Become Potential Software Designer8.How to Improve Your Software UI/UX9.How to Increase Creativity for Software Designing10.Applying Design Thinking In Software11.How to Apply Design Thinking in Agile12.How to Test Your Prototype13.UI and UX Tips14.How to Add Metafiles to Software/ProductHow to Use This BookIn this book, we explain how to design best and user-centric software Products without being a product designer. These products allow us to become better versions of ourselves. This book will lead you through contemplating this vision (or visions), and help you make suitable plans to build the tool.We wish you to pro-actively learn new skills and to purposefully practice these skills as you go through this book. Throughout this book, we are certainly encouraging you to think divergently. The goal of divergent thinking is to generate as many ideas as you can. Convergent thinking, on the other hand, is a method that arrives at a single (one and only) solution.Divergent Thinking for Designing Software Patterns and UX/UIThroughout this book, we are certainly encouraging you to think divergently. The goal of divergent thinking is to generate as many ideas as you can. Convergent thinking, on the other hand, is a method that arrives at a single (one and only) solution. For example, considering all the uses of a brick is divergent thinking, whereas considering what weekday is today, is convergent thinking. However, we acknowledge that it is not easy to create lots of different ideas on demand. You will find it a challenge to think up 50 solutions now, and even more difficult to create several life-changing product designs in five seconds. However, each of these tasks is possible, and you can create novel solutions, and products that are unique. While no technique is a panacea, there are methods that can help you consider new ideas, and to contemplate new solutions.About the AuthorNarendra Mohan Mittal is the Founder and Chairman of Thesis Scientist and he is working in the field of Data Science/big data/machine learning/deep learning space. He has more than 10 years in Research and Testing and he is very active in the Big Data, Data Science, Python and Machine learning.

Scaling a Software Business: The Digitalization Journey

by Brian Fitzgerald

This book is open access under a CC BY 4.0 license. This book is intended primarily for practitioners who are facing the “softwareisation” of their business. It presents the Scaling Management Framework, a model based on collected experiences from companies that have already made the journey to give software a central role within the organization. The model is unique because it suggests a holistic method to analyze and plan your journey. It simply means that you can’t just focus solely on your products or services. You also have to look closely at your processes and your organization, the way you make decisions and get things done. Inevitably, these will have to change.Software has changed the rules of the game. The world talks about the digitalization in industry and society – how the focus has shifted from producing tangible things towards software and services. This trend started many years ago, but is now affecting every company, whether it’s a software company or not. There are many companies that have already made a digitalization journey – and many are about to embark on this journey – like you. How do you transform your organization when software is becoming a critical part of your business? This book comes with a map, a compass, and suggested journeys along with selected travel stories comprising best practices and lessons learned from past digitalization journeys. Use the map to find your way in the digitalization landscape, and use the compass to find the direction of your journey.

Projection-Based Clustering through Self-Organization and Swarm Intelligence: Combining Cluster Analysis with the Visualization of High-Dimensional Data

by Michael Christoph Thrun

This open access book covers aspects of unsupervised machine learning used for knowledge discovery in data science and introduces a data-driven approach to cluster analysis, the Databionic swarm (DBS). DBS consists of the 3D landscape visualization and clustering of data. The 3D landscape enables 3D printing of high-dimensional data structures. The clustering and number of clusters or an absence of cluster structure are verified by the 3D landscape at a glance.
