Mother of Wolves (Evalyce Worldshaper Book 1)

by J. Aislynn d'Merricksson

De Sikkari, a world full of magick and wonder and blended technology. Floating skycities, supported by lucavite, soar far above the continents and oceans. It is a world where creatures of myth and legend roam freely. A world fraught with an unknown danger, for the magick binding the Nagali Al'dhumarna in his confinement upon the Isle of Whispers has begun to fail. It is 2013, the Year of the Golden Hart, a year of awakening and change, especially for Kalla kyl’Solidor, a mage of Cryshal Kanlon. Kalla has gone to find a magister, the guardians who serve as protectors and energy sources for their magi. Kalla finds more than she bargained for when the skycity she is visiting comes under attack by fire wyvern, dragon-kin who normally shun humans and keep to themselves. In the aftermath of the battle Kalla and her magister find a wounded wyvern. Rather than allow the creature to be slaughtered, Kalla heals it, learning, in the process, that the wyvern had been drugged and set to attack. A fire-scrying reveals that it wasn’t an isolated event. All across De Sikkari, dragon-kin and other creatures had been enslaved and set against city and skycity alike. The scrying sets Kalla and her magister on a journey which will profoundly change them in ways they could never imagine.

Grimseeker 1: book three of the Dead Path Chronicles

by Richard A. Valicek

The land of Elysium on the planet Alamptria is led by King Confidus Seaton, whose sons Caprius, Andromin, and Dragus are all knights of Petoshine, wielders of powerful claymore swords, dedicated to fighting the vampires and their allies the Goncools who follow the demonic great lord Makoor. After finding the book of Bivion, Caprius oversees the resurrection of Felicia the Golden Fleece from a mystical imprisonment of one thousand years, although her golden nature remains under a cloud cast by Makoor.Following a failed assassination attempt against the Elysian Council, two men, Hanone Bigidrey and Rover Honsel, are condemned to death but then sold for gold to the country of Calidronia so their brains can be subjected to experiments. Felicia tells Caprius that she needs the staff of Bivion to be fully restored, and he dispatches his friend Shelly Hathoway to the land of Mulforia to find it. Caprius has a vision of a woman named Calista who tells him that Andromin will save her from rape in the future. While in the city of Koriston, Caprius and Andromin encounter the criminal Bombidus Barons and foil his plot to unleash an army of vampires, though Barons escapes. When the Calidronians fail to return the bodies of Hanone and Rover, King Confidus sends Caprius to investigate. After arriving in his air shuttle, Caprius is involved in several battles before finding evidence on a computer that Makoor’s henchman Titanis Clore is planning to send the Grim Seeker to destroy Elysium. After killing a powerful vampire, Andromin and Dragus are cut off from their air shuttle and must go on foot. After his plan to kill Caprius fails, Titanis is drained of most of his blood by his vampire mother, Baka, who is restored as the voluptuous vampire Lydia. Makoor allows Titanis to be restored so he can pursue his plan to kill Caprius Seaton and his brothers. In the forest, Andromin and Dragus discover and rescue a bound woman whose name is Calista. After a hospital stay, Calista is welcomed as a member of the Seaton family, though she has a secret troubled past. Revived by the staff of Bivion, Felicia is fully restored as the Golden Fleece and sears Makoor from afar with a blast of energy. She tells Melina that she will give birth to a child who will fulfill a prophecy. While the people of Elysium rejoice, the dark lord Makoor and his followers nurse their injuries and grievances and plot to unleash a fresh wave of vampirism against the humans of Alamptria.

by Alex Leu

**Includes a special FREE offer inside - the science fiction short story Project Chaos**

A post-apocalyptic/dystopian science fiction cyberpunk thriller.

Death to the Witch-Queen!: A Post-Apocalyptic Western Steampunk Space Opera (The Avenjurs of Williym Blaik & the Cyborg Qilliara)

by P.K. Lentz

Williym Blaik's plans just changed:1̶)̶̶ G̶e̶t̶ ̶e̶x̶e̶c̶u̶t̶e̶d̶.̶1) Overthrow the immortal tyrant of a wasteland.2) Save the ^&#* universe."Enjoyed this book immensely. With Discworld now defunct I have been searching out books to fill the void." Amazon customerJoin a half-mad drifter and a trigger-happy vegetarian cyborg as they bring DEATH TO THE WITCH-QUEEN! It's the start of an epic, genre-blending adventure across a doomed universe.Meet...Williym Blaik - He's lived all his life in a wasteland, stealing from its tyrant, the Witch-Queen Jaxitza. He doesn't know how a hot-air balloon works. He can't pronounce tough words like facilitated. In times of stress, he speaks to inanimate objects... and hears them talk back.Qilliara - She's a glitchy cyborg who takes 37 minutes to reboot. She utterly lacks a sense of humor, so when she brutally mocks you, it's no joke. Nor is she joking when she says she'll kill you if you lose one of her guns. In fact, she doesn't care at all whether Blaik lives or dies, which makes it doubtful whether he can convince her to show him this thing she calls the universe... the thing she's on a desperate mission to save.NOTE: This is a novella-length work packed with a full novel's worth of FUN & ACTION. You'll find no padding, no infodumps, no subplots that leave you impatient to get back to the main narrative. There's also no sex or foul language. For those, try my other series, The Hellennium.Q & A!Q: The best and most enduring SF tackles heavy themes that are relevant today, including but not limited to: the meaning of being human; sharing the universe; Earth's future; social & class divisions; the repercussions of technological progress; never giving up against all odds; virtues like honor, duty, and loyalty. Will this series address such issues?A: No, no, no, and no! The Avenjurs of Blaik & Qil is meant to be a fun & fast-paced series. But that's not to say that it will not also have an epic plot that encompasses some dark elements. It is not parody or farce or even comedy, but it does not take itself too seriously... until the time comes for it.Q: The main character's name is Williym Blaik. There's a famous dead artist & poet named William Blake. Is this supposed to be him?A: This character comes from a degenerate world, and it occurred to me that his name should be a lofty literary one, but spelled as if sounded out by an illiterate. Why William Blake? His art is blisteringly cool and unlike that of his contemporaries, it has not aged a day in 200 years. His poems were great, too, even to someone like me who don't wanna read no poetry (while understanding that the world requires poets). Blaik is named in respect, not mockery. Since we're dealing with layers of reality here, it does amuse me to think that genetically, Williym Blaik might be an alternate-alternate-alternate William Blake.Q: I read the book, and I want to know where I can buy the song "The Skull of Eternity" by Astral Titan.A: Sadly, that song does not yet have a concrete release date in our version of reality. If you want Blaik's theme song, try "Tiger! Tiger!" by Slough Feg. Not only is it awesome in its own right; it also borrows lyrics from "Tyger! Tyger!" by Mr. William Blake, a poem which features heavily in the classic SF novel which the Slough Feg song is about: The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester, one of the Best. Books. Ever.

When Tennil, a young dedicata, becomes a detective aboard her world's first circumglobal passenger train, she can't imagine what lies before her. Will the rail lords protect her or throw her under the train's wheels? Geist Krieger: The Western Front

by JC Denton

Geist Krieger is a world where men worship famous industrialists as the sons of God, the deity known as the Watchmaker. The world itself is a vast mechanical astrolabe built by the Watchmaker. It along with the rest of this universe spins in synchronized clockwork with gears the size of planets and stars. In this world, morality is also determined by capitalism and war is a regular expression of economics. This is the Watchmakers Paradise, a world of steam and competition, where men may earn their places at the ‘table of prosperity’ so speaketh the Divine, the Watchmaker. In this world, an industrialist from the Americas has put a secret plan into motion which will open up the isolated Europa Markets for free-trade. These plans will bring one of the largest city-states fighting for supremacy upon the continental gears in a Six Hundred Year War to its very knees.Soldiers will die. Fortunes will be lost. The wealth of nations will be gambled by men of inscrutable power. To some, this might sound cruel, but in this world, such matters are merely numbers on a board.
