I also include a link to the spreadsheet files that the reader can download and use as is or edit to customize his or her training based on personal needs and strengths in the swim, bike, and run.
About The Author
Bill Ciocco has been weight training and bodybuilding since the early 1980’s. In 1999, he read and followed the Body for Life plan by Bill Philips. That was his introduction to running and he completed his first 5K run in 2000. He has never been a fast runner but has learned to enjoy the sport. As he was turning 50 years old, in 2012, he wanted to train more, but did not want to add distance. After researching triathlon and the benefits of training in three separate sports, he found the perfect fit. Bill trained and completed his first Sprint Triathlon in 2013. He did so with a torn meniscus, unbeknownst to him.
Later in 2013, Bill was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. After three surgeries that year for the thyroid and the meniscus tear in his knee, all of Bill’s training for the rest of the year was in the form of physical therapy.
His wife, Christine, was inspired and caught the “Triathlon” bug after watching Bill’s event earlier in the year. During his recovery time, Bill helped her and one of her friends as they prepared for their first triathlon in 2014. Other friends started asking him for advice as well and he has helped them get into the sport.
Christine and her friend continue in triathlon filling their respective homes with bling of first, second, and third place medals; glassware; and coconut head monkeys.
Though not fully recovered, Bill started back competing in triathlons in 2014. He is currently swimming and biking while recovering from another knee injury and will be back running the roads soon.

The Magic Of The Left Jab

by John Nawn

This book is titled the “Magic Of The Left Jab” for a very good reason.
The Left Jab is the first punch all boxers are taught. It is used to control the distance between you and your opponent. It’s used to probe your opponent’s defences. It’s used to set up combinations. It’s used to control your opponent’s movements. It’s used to wear down your opponent mentally and physically. It’s used to set up knockout punches. It’s used to control the speed, tempo and intensity of the fight and much, much more. It is in fact the most versatile punch you can learn to use.

IT IS IN FACT A MAGICAL PUNCH!

The left jab is a much under-estimated and under- utilised strike.
The left jab when used to effect with good footwork can be a fight winner.
It can be used in so many different circumstances including but not limited to :-
• FEELING OUT YOUR OPPONENT AT THE START OF A FIGHT.
• WORKING DISTANCE.
• CHECKING HIS REACTION SPEED.
• MOVING IN BEHIND THE JAB TO CLOSE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR OPPONENT.
• JABBING YOUR OPPONENT OFF AS HE RUSHES AT YOU.
• WEARING YOUR OPPONENT DOWN PHYSICALLY BUT JUST AS IMPORTANTLY MENTALLY.
• SETTING UP COMBINATIONS.
• SETTING UP KNOCKOUTS.
• THE JAB CAN BE A KNOCKOUT PUNCH.

We will discuss all this and much, much more in this e-book.

Additionally, when you buy this e-book you will receive a link to two youtube videos that will demonstrate some vital exercises with the left jab.

JIU-JITSU: [Translated]

by M. P. Lynch

A. Buvat's 1909 manual on jiu-jitsu reminds us that this martial art distinguishes itself from all others through its fundamental efficacy in real combat. Whether it is being practiced by samurai, turn-of-the-century Frenchmen in bowler hats, or MMA fighters of the present day, this art survives in a relatively unchanged form because the core principles of leverage and economy of force upon which it is built are eternal. Whether you know nothing of the art or you know it well and love its history, there is something in A. Buvat's manual for you. For entertainment purposes only.

Secrets of Power training the legendary Bruce Lee

by Sergey Matyushkov

"Study your experience, remember what is useful, discard useless and try to find your own way ..." Bruce LeeWho are typical dilettantes and whom to imitate? You can find information about achievements and methods of those who are genetically gifted by nature mostly in all the books.Let’s honestly admit, genetically gifted skills among the large army of those who want to become strong and independent are rarely met. The vast majority of people who decided to begin systematic training cannot say that they have outstanding natural skills. Therefore, the chance that you will be a rare exception from the rule is very low.So, what training methodology should a common dilettante select, if he has skills which can’t be named as outstanding, who does not take steroids and other harmful pharmacology?Let’s be objective. A beginner with ordinary physical capabilities will have to go through a lot of anguish and frustration to grasp one key truth: he needs a reasonable and thoughtful approach to the creation of his own (individual) program, and not to exhaust himself with “star” systems.I will repeat once again, it is stupid and pointless to choose traditional methods of strength training, which work only with genetically gifted people.

Choice: The Most Underutilized Asset In Wrestling

by JohnA Passaro

WrestlingU - Train Your Brain.
Have you ever wondered why two wrestlers can wrestle multiple times with drastically different results?
Or why –
Wrestler A beat wrestler B,
Wrestler B beat wrestler C,
But wrestler A lost to wrestler C?

The answer is hidden in plain sight.

Styles make matches.

Choosing to create advantaged positions and avoid disadvantaged positions, is the most underutilized strategic asset in wrestling.

The wrestler who wrestles in his highest advantage position, for the longest time in the match, will have the greater probability of winning.

That is the reason why two wrestlers wrestle multiple times with drastically different outcomes, and why the logic doesn’t hold that if one wrestler beat another he should be able to beat the wrestler his prior opponent beat.

If you watch and research matches between the same wrestler’s you will see, more times than not, the reason there was a different outcome was because one wrestler was able to wrestle in his highest advantage position in one match and was not able to do so in the other.

Your job is to understand which position is your most favorable matchup position versus your opponent.
Where you have the greatest advantage.
Where you have the highest probability of scoring points as quickly.
And to get to that position.

I believe, you don’t get to that position by chance,

I believe, you get to that position by choice.

"Choice, not chance, determines your destiny" - Aristotle
___________________________________

Choice is part of the "WrestlingU" Series - "Train Your Brain"

A series dedicated to the wrestler who is looking to get to the next level.
A wrestler who understands the value of training his mind along with his body.

Each book in the series tackles and breaks down a key aspect of the sport of high school and collegiate wrestling.

Each book is specifically designed to be short in length and direct to the point, thus creating an easy read.

The series is not about piling on pages of information on the topic, it is about presenting key aspects of the topic in a simplistic but powerful manner.

Books in the WrestlingU Series will be approximately 50 pages, but will contain information that when implemented will take a wrestler to the next level.

The genius is in the simplicity.

Street Fighter Skills: Volume 1

by John Nawn

*FREE 2 hours of training videosStreet Fighter Skills Volume 1 How to go beyond modern martial arts using the lost secrets of real Street Fighting By John Nawn How do YOU stack up against the TRUE Street Fighter? No matter what level of martial arts skills you have achieved its still likely there are some serious gaps in your training. Gaps that are holding you back from your full potential. John Nawn has made a brilliant step-by-step modular system that can take you to an elite level. With consistent training in these principles almost anyone can massively improve their fight game. Both in the ring and on the street. John Nawn has given you all the keys you will ever need to open all the doors to REAL fighting. Even if you take only a fraction of John’s material you will still be better than most fighters. If you’re one of the chosen few who takes onboard the entire system you will become a force to be reckoned with. A TRUE Street Fighter has: 1.A Guard that’s almost impossible to get through. He can even use his guard as a weapon to attack his opponent’s strikes, and his opponent finds it almost impossible to land a meaningful strike on him2.A mastery of Footwork. He can work angles, nullify attacks, outflank his opponent, generate power and start to break his opponent down all with positioning3.The knowledge of how to punch (very few fighters and so-called martial arts guys understand this) and he understands all the illegal moves such as finger strikes, biting and headbutts4.A true understanding of fear and psychology. He’s not just a theory man, he can actually use psychology during the fight to destroy his opponent, he can also recognize and deal with fear in himself, he can read body language, he can read the “feel” of a room and instantly recognize a setup5.The means to use all these things together A top Street Fighter is incredibly difficult to defeat. He’s not fighting to earn a belt or win a game of tig, for him fighting can literally be a matter of survival. The good news is that with enough training and dedication you can be taught to reach this level. You may be a highly experienced martial artist or a beginner just starting out: this is the right place for you to take your skills light years beyond most fighters out there and learn what really works on the streets. Listen, you’re not always going to be the strongest or quickest fighter. It hurts me to tell you this but you’re not always going to be the youngest fighter, either. Someday you may run in to a stronger, faster, younger version of you. A guy who is just better than you. When that happens you won’t be able to use brute force or aggression to beat him (he’s stronger than you, remember) you need other options in case things don’t go as planned. Top Dog Combat Solutions will give you options that work. Well give you Plan A, B, C right through to Z. Very often it can be the seemingly small details that make the world of difference, just like salt in food -it’s a small ingredient but it can make all the difference. Those little details can make or break a fighter too. In addition to showing you how to fight right from scratch you’ll find all kinds of vital insider information here so you don’t have to learn it the hard way. We’ve trained in Britain, Russia, Australia and even Japan and we’ve never seen this stuff taught anywhere else. These are the real keys you’ve been looking for. THIS is the information you could spend your whole life searching for and still not find! We’ve laid it all out for you in a logical system so you don’t have to waste years searching and training and seeking the deeper meanings of martial arts. All that stuff is right here at your fingertips.

Do What You Love

by Mark Cameron

The follow up to my best selling book The Diary of an Average Runner. What's happened in the 5 years since i published this book? Well plenty of trying to find out what make me happy, that's what. It's been an up and down period, some would call it a mid life crisis, but i'm coming out the other end a better person with a clear mind so wanted to share this with others who may either be going through similar or simply want read an easy quick read. This is another simple read, even more than the first books, but that's where my life has headed now, simplest is best. If you're expecting to read a long book, full of detailed race reports, then this book won't be for you. If you want a short and easy read that's more like a short collection of blog posts, with content which is at times pretty personal to myself, then this is for you and I really hope you enjoy reading it.

The Wrestler Murders : The True Story of Chris and Nancy Benoit

by James Falcon

Chris and Nancy Benoit were one of the many American couples who met and formed a relationship through their professional wrestling careers. Chris was a wrestling veteran of 22 years, and had held 22 championships across various promotions such as WWE, WCW, NJPW and ECW. He had been a headline act and a world champion on a number of occasions. Nancy Benoit was a valet and model for the ECW and WCW during the mid 1990s, under the simple ring names “Fallen Angel” and “Woman.” She had previously been married to Jim Daus and Kevin Sullivan, whom she had met during her time with Florida Championship Wrestling. After an on-screen relationship, an affair and her divorce from Sullivan, she married Chris Benoit in 2000.
