Training Plans
Planning one’s training for triathlon is almost as difficult as the training itself. It is certainly more confusing. You Can Tri includes a training plan section that explains how you can write your own training plans for three, four, or six days of training per week. I also include a link to the spreadsheet files that the reader can download and use as is or edit to customize his or her training based on personal needs and strengths in the swim, bike, and run.
About The Author
Bill Ciocco has been weight training and bodybuilding since the early 1980’s. In 1999, he read and followed the Body for Life plan by Bill Philips. That was his introduction to running and he completed his first 5K run in 2000. He has never been a fast runner but has learned to enjoy the sport. As he was turning 50 years old, in 2012, he wanted to train more, but did not want to add distance. After researching triathlon and the benefits of training in three separate sports, he found the perfect fit. Bill trained and completed his first Sprint Triathlon in 2013. He did so with a torn meniscus, unbeknownst to him.
Later in 2013, Bill was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. After three surgeries that year for the thyroid and the meniscus tear in his knee, all of Bill’s training for the rest of the year was in the form of physical therapy.
His wife, Christine, was inspired and caught the “Triathlon” bug after watching Bill’s event earlier in the year. During his recovery time, Bill helped her and one of her friends as they prepared for their first triathlon in 2014. Other friends started asking him for advice as well and he has helped them get into the sport.
Christine and her friend continue in triathlon filling their respective homes with bling of first, second, and third place medals; glassware; and coconut head monkeys.
Though not fully recovered, Bill started back competing in triathlons in 2014. He is currently swimming and biking while recovering from another knee injury and will be back running the roads soon.

Choice: The Most Underutilized Asset In Wrestling

The answer is hidden in plain sight.

Styles make matches.

Choosing to create advantaged positions and avoid disadvantaged positions, is the most underutilized strategic asset in wrestling.

The wrestler who wrestles in his highest advantage position, for the longest time in the match, will have the greater probability of winning.

That is the reason why two wrestlers wrestle multiple times with drastically different outcomes, and why the logic doesn’t hold that if one wrestler beat another he should be able to beat the wrestler his prior opponent beat.

If you watch and research matches between the same wrestler’s you will see, more times than not, the reason there was a different outcome was because one wrestler was able to wrestle in his highest advantage position in one match and was not able to do so in the other.

Your job is to understand which position is your most favorable matchup position versus your opponent.
Where you have the greatest advantage.
Where you have the highest probability of scoring points as quickly.
And to get to that position.

If you're expecting to read a long book, full of detailed race reports, then this book won't be for you. If you want a short and easy read that's more like a short collection of blog posts, with content which is at times pretty personal to myself, then this is for you and I really hope you enjoy reading it.

Chris and Nancy Benoit were one of the many American couples who met and formed a relationship through their professional wrestling careers. Chris was a wrestling veteran of 22 years, and had held 22 championships across various promotions such as WWE, WCW, NJPW and ECW. He had been a headline act and a world champion on a number of occasions. Nancy Benoit was a valet and model for the ECW and WCW during the mid 1990s, under the simple ring names “Fallen Angel” and “Woman.” She had previously been married to Jim Daus and Kevin Sullivan, whom she had met during her time with Florida Championship Wrestling. After an on-screen relationship, an affair and her divorce from Sullivan, she married Chris Benoit in 2000. She was his manager, and the pair had a child together, named Daniel.But their marriage was not a happy one. In 2003, just three years after their marriage, Nancy filed for divorce citing that the couple’s marriage was ‘irrevocably broken’ and that she had been treated with cruelty by her husband. She dropped the suit, as well as a restraining order against Chris; but just a few years later she, her husband and their child were found dead in the family home in a double murder suicide.
