One Hundred Years of Chemical Warfare: Research, Deployment, Consequences

by Bretislav Friedrich

This book is open access under a CC BY-NC 2.5 license. On April 22, 1915, the German military released 150 tons of chlorine gas at Ypres, Belgium. This chemical attack, which amounted to the first use of a weapon of mass destruction, marks a turning point in world history. The preparation as well as the execution of the gas attack was orchestrated by Fritz Haber, the director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry in Berlin-Dahlem. During World War I, Haber transformed his research institute into a center for the development of chemical weapons (and of the means of protection agains...

Chasing The Dragon: Are You Chem-Friendly? (The Chemsex Trilogy Book 1)

by Cameron Yorke

2015 was the year of the chem-sex revolution amongst the gay scene in London. It seemed the entire population wanted to get ‘High & Horny’, and ‘PnP’ was the priority for weekend entertainment, with young and old alike, afterall, it was ‘just sex’, and relationships were a thing of the past - One either denied their existence entirely, or swore that an open arrangement was the norm. Chasing the Dragon is a portayal of this phenomenon, and explores the use of recreational drugs and the social impact on those who indulged, as well as the wider community, with valuable insight into the machinations of the chem-sex culture, and the wider recreational drug scene of London, and Britain in the 21st century, and proof that the ‘War on Drugs’ has failed....

Forks

by a.e. davis

Amber Davis’ mom had a half-baked idea to move to Forks, Washington, because she fell in love with a movie, with no consideration of how that would impact a high school student entering her senior year. But for an independent girl who found herself alone on the weekends before they moved, she’s shocked to find herself being pursued by a number of hot young boys, all of who seem to be mysterious, but as she quickly finds out, this town was not only attracting tourists, but possibly others with bad intentions and those drawn to the area to meet others like them. Most alarmingly, she starts to find that there may have been a kernel of truth to what made this whole idea of vampires and werewolves a cultural phenomenon.

“I’m glad you moved here,” he said suddenly.

Out of the archaeology of ancient Persia and the South Caucasus, Imperial Matter advances powerful new analytical ...
