FORTY RABBANA - Collection of Short Quranic Duas

by (Kzn) South Africa, Jamiatul Ulama

INTRODUCTION

Praise be to Allah, we thank Him, seek His Help and His Forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of ourselves and that of our bad deeds. He whom Allah guides, is truly guided, and he whom Allah leaves to stray, none can guide him. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, who has no partner and I bear witness that Muhammad (PBUH) is His Messenger.

This publication is a compilation of forty such verses, which are supplications imploring Allah for favours, all of which start with beseeching Allah with His title of the Lord of all.

If a person reads it with humility and subjugation, there will be a feeling of contentment...

Tajwid - Beautifying the Qur'an

by South Africa, Jamiatul Ulama

Tajwid means to beautify or to do well. However, in regards to the recitation of the Qur'an it means, “To pronounce every letter correctly from its exact point of origin together with all its qualities, and to know where and how to stop.”Tajwid does not mean to recite the Qur’an in a beautiful voice while disregarding the rules of recitation.

The importance of Tajwid (correct recitation) can not be sufficiently emphasised.

The word “Tartil” has been translated as slow, measured tones. It has been further explained by `Ali( R.A) to mean “the correct pronunciation of the letters and the understanding of the breaks.” It is from this that the given meaning of Tajwid is derived.

Further to that one must remember that reciting the Qur’an ...

Zakah - The Obligation of Purity

by Authenticate Ulama's Organization and Fisabilillah Organization

INTRODUCTION

Allah Ta’ala, through His wisdom and mercy, has given Man the ability to work and earn. Yet, we see around us the phenomenon of prosperity and poverty intertwined. One may ask as to why this is, and what purpose it serves.

As to why is there poverty and prosperity; we know for sure that wealth is a favour from Allah Ta’ala on to whoever it is bestowed upon.

“Do not desire what Allah has favoured some of His servants over others, for men is the allotment of what they earn, and for women is the allotment of what they earn. But ask from Allah for His favour. Indeed Allah is with all things the Knowing.” Qur’an, an-Nisa’, 4:32

The Qur’an should be recited daily so that in short spaces of time entire recitations are completed. This is something that many are punctual with in Ramadan, however, it is not something that is exclusive to that month. It’s blessings transcend to every instance in our lives. To facilitate this, a table has been included at the end of this book which we can use to encourage and remind ourselves of this manner of pleasing Allah Ta’ala. Decoding The QURAN (A Unique Sufi Interpretation)

by Ahmed Hulusi and Aliya Atalay

In this incredible age of increasing awareness and the rise of consciousness, where the intellect is craving to find the answers to the place and purpose of ones existence, we often find ourselves at an intersection of ancient texts and modern science, falling into an array of dichotomies. Decoding the Quran is a unique interpretation, which shows the integration of the two ways, highlighting non-duality of existence, and more importantly how the human being is an integral factor of this Oneness. It employs a holistic approach to the seemingly disconnected events, laws, edicts and commands of God, integrating this miraculous knowledge, to define how and why it is a concern to humans. What is the reality of a human being? Why is mankind reminded of their reality? What does the narrations of ...

Quran - The Final Testament: Authorized English Version

by Dr. Rashad Khalifa Ph.D.

Proclaiming One unifying religion for all the people. The Book is, without a doubt, a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. The Final Testament comes with built-in physical evidence that it is God's message to you; it is mathematically composed beyond human capability. This proves that God is the Truth, and that He revives the dead, and that He is Omnipotent. Our Salvation in the hereafter lies on upholding The Quran. The Quran is God's Final Testament to the world. Unlike any other book, the Quran is taught by God (55:1-2); He teaches us what we need at the time we need it. This is why we read the Quran hundreds of times without getting bored. We can read a novel, for example, only once. But the Quran can be read an infinite number of times, and we derive new and valuable information ...

The Power of Prayer (Channeling Brain Waves Through Dhikr)

by Ahmed Hulusi and Aliya Atalay

“Prayer is the weapon of a believer.” - Muhammad (saw)

Prayer is the act of actualizing one’s wants through the divine powers present within. There is of course a scientific explanation to this act. Essentially prayer is ‘guided brain waves.’ Just as the dimension of knowledge transforms into energy and the quantum field to form the universe, the wants and desires of consciousness emanate from the dimension of knowledge to reveal themselves as the wants and desires of man and become actualized through the densification of guided brain waves. Due to this, the stronger the concentration level, the faster the response will be to the prayer.

“And he who turns away from My dhikr (the absolute reality of which I have reminded him), indeed, he will have a res...

200 Golden Hadiths

by Darussalam Publishers and Abdul Malik Mujahid

Every Muslim is aware of the importance of the Prophet’s hadiths. Islam is based on two major sources: the Quran and the Sunnah, and the latter is available to us in the form of hadiths. The Prophet said, “Whoever comes to know one hadith of mine should spread it.” However, the Prophet also told us to be careful when spreading his hadiths so as not to alter any component of it, otherwise, “he can take his seat in the hellfire.”
Within this book the author has incorporated 200 small hadiths of the Prophet. The reason for choosing the smaller hadiths of the Prophets is so that the youth can easily become accustomed to the words of the Prophet. All the hadiths concern the important matters of the religion, which every person should have knowledge of. Many youth from among the ...

Has the Bible Been Changed?: The Reliability of the Scriptures According to Jewish, Christian, and Islamic Sources

by Dan Wickwire

Muslims all over the world are ignoring the message of the New Testament because their teachers say its text has been corrupted. Yet very few of them have checked to see whether what their teachers say is true.
- David Byle, chairman of the Bible Correspondence Course in Turkey (bccturkey.org)

What does it take to persuade an entire Islamic nation to recall and rewrite their religious education materials in order to no longer teach that the Bible has been changed? Only one thing: the Qur’an itself. The Qur’an clearly states that the Bible has not been changed and, even more shockingly, says that anyone who teaches that the Bible has been changed is in fact doomed to hell.

This book, Has the Bible Been Changed?, was the reason that in 1996 the Department ...

The Reality Behind Muhammad’s First Revelation:

The first verse and command of the Quran is ‘READ’!

But how did this command reach Muhammad (saw) and what did he feel at that moment?

How did the angel Gabriel (as) come to him, ask him to ‘READ’ and ‘squeeze’ him; what was this experience like for Muhammad (saw)?
